OnePlus 7 Pro Gets New Camera Features, June Security Patches, and More via OxygenOS 9.5.9-December 2024

The OnePlus 7 Pro has been at the receiving end of several updates over ever since its release. Some of them bought forth new features while others were minor QoL updates aimed at making the user experience better. Today, the OnePlus 7 Pro is receiving a significant upgrade that brings with it a lot of changes and a bunch of new features. Here's the full changelog according to OnePlus' website:

The update includes another round of camera improvements that such as better autofocus, performance improvement when switching between cameras and improved quality when taking full 48MP JPG photos in the "Pro" manual camera mode. Additionally, sensitivity improvements for automatic brightness, better haptics, improved resolution auto-switching, better screen off GPS performance and accuracy, and a new "Face Unlock assistive lighting" setting are also included with the update. The update weighs in at 325MB and comes with the June security patches. Like most of their updates, it is being rolled out in batches so it may take a few days for it for you to get it, depending on where you live. The OnePlus 7 Pro, much like a lot of its predecessors, encountered its fair share of hiccups after release. This isn't new and it happens to almost all modern-day flagships. What sets OnePlus sets apart is the speed at which they fix the problems and kudos to them for that.
