Alongside iPhone 15 Pro, Apple Is Aiming To Increase Revenue By Increasing The Price Of The Standard iPhone 15 Models-February 2024
Feb 12, 2026 3:20 AM

The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro models will house major upgrades on the inside and the design. The 'Pro' models are expected to come in a brand-new titanium finish with upgraded camera hardware for enhanced photo and video-taking capabilities. It was previously reported that with major upgrades on the horizon, the iPhone 15 Pro models will launch with a higher price tag than the current models. Now, it is being reported that the standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are expected to feature a minor price increase as well.

Users should expect the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus prices to increase alongside iPhone 15 Pro models

The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will use the Dynamic Island technology on the front as the current models, which will take the handsets a step closer to the 'Pro' models. Furthermore, the camera hardware will be upgraded as well. While it will be significantly better than the iPhone 14, the camera will still be inferior to the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro. Nonetheless, the decent upgrade is more than a welcome addition to the standard models. With these changes and upgrades in sight, Mark Gurman from Bloomberg states in his latest Power On newsletter that users should expect 'minor' price increases on all four models of the iPhone 15.

Before today's report, only the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro models were reported to be priced higher than the current models. The iPhone 15 Pro models will come in a new grade 5 titanium finish which is one reason the price of the handset will be higher. Another major reason for the price hike is the upgraded camera hardware. Ultimately, the price increase would lead to higher profit margins for the company.

iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro Price Increase Expected at launch

The standard iPhone 15 models could feature a minor price hike since the demand for the current models is low due to a lack of innovation in terms of design and feature set. With the upcoming models, if the company keeps the price at bay, the handsets could sell like hotcakes as they feature a more premium design with slimmer differences from the 'Pro' models. We suspect that the standard models will feature a $50 increase in price per unit.

The iPhone 15 Pro models, on the other hand, could feature a major price increase. In a recent report, it was speculated that the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max could come with a price increase of as much as $200. If the news has any heft to it, the base model of the iPhone 15 Pro Max could cost up to $1,299 compared to $1,099 for the iPhone 14 Pro Max. However, be sure to take the news with a grain of salt since the final word rests with Apple.
