AMD has introduced its brand new Radeon RX 7800 XT & RX 7700 XT GPUs which will be getting a range of custom models at launch.

AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT & RX 7700 XT GPUs Custom Models Show Diverse Triple & Dual-Fan Cooling Solutions

The AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT & RX 7700 XT GPUs come in at reference MSRPs of $499 US & $449 US, respectively. As such, we can expect the custom variants to get slightly extra but there will be few variants that retain the MSRP pricing while delivering better cooling capabilities than the MBA variant (only available for Radeon RX 7800 XT of the two cards).

Starting with the reference model which is also known as MBA (Made by AMD), we are looking at the standard dual-slot and dual-fan affair. The card looks similar to its triple-slot brothers using a higher-end RDNA 3 GPU SKU but overall, this should provide decent cooling capabilities to the GPU underneath it. The 7800 XT is also the only card to have a reference design whereas the 7700 XT is going to stick with partner cards.

So starting with the lineup, we first have ASUS with its new TUF Gaming variants for both cards. The ASUS Radeon RX 7800 XT & RX 7700 XT TUF Gaming graphics cards will feature axial-tech cooling, a metal shroud with a bracing design to prevent GPU sag, and require at least 2.96 slots which is a bit more compact than the 7900 series which takes up 3.63 slots of space. Both cards feature the dual BIOS design with Q/P modes and require dual 8-pin connectors to boot. Furthermore, the 7800 XT will be available in a brand new white TUF Gaming variant which looks superb.

Gigabyte is also preparing two variants of the card which include its Radeon RX 7800 XT Gaming OC and Radeon RX 7700 XT Gaming OC. Both cards feature the same Windforce cooling design with 2.5 slot coolers, a triple 90mm fan, 7 composite copper heat pipes, & a large copper plate for the GPU. Both cards come with dual 8-pin connectors to boot and a dual-BIOS configuration while running at higher clock speeds than the reference models.

PowerColor is introducing a total of six new graphics cards in its Radeon RX 7800 XT & RX 7700 XT GPU portfolio. These include the Red Devil Limited Edition, the standard Red Devil, Hellhound, and the Fighter series cards. The Red Devil RX 7800 XT & RX 7700 XT share the same PCB with a total of 16 VRM phases, 14-layer PCB, triple-fan cooling, dual 8-pin power connectors, and a 2.5-slot layout. The hellhound features a toned-down design with a triple-fan solution, a direct contact copper GPU plate, and a dual BIOS design while the Fighter RX 7700 XT cuts down on the RGB & gives a matte-black color approach. All variants will feature a factory overclock out of the box.

XFX has two variants, one for each graphics card. We first have the Radeon RX 7800 XT MERC 319 which is a triple-slot design with a black and silver finish. The graphics card looks great and comes with a triple-fan cooler, powered by a dual 8-pin connector configuration while making use of a non-reference PCB with a factory overclock out of the box. The Radeon RX 7700 XT QICK 319 also uses a triple-fan cooling solution but adopts a dual-slot design and is powered by a dual 8-pin power connector configuration. Both cards adopt an extended cooler and backplate form factor.

As expected, ASRock has three new graphics cards under the AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT & RX 7700 XT GPU lineup. These include the Radeon RX 7800 XT Phantom Gaming OC with its massive triple-slot and RGB in-fused design, the RX 7800 XT Steel Legend with a white-colored shroud, triple-fan cooling, and RGB-infused fan design, and the RX 7700 XT Challenger OC with a dual-slot and dual-fan layout that also features a subtle hint of RGB to go along with its black and silver color scheme. All cards are powered by a dual 8-pin connector layout.

Sapphire being the top AMD-exclusive AIB has prepped up the Nitro+, Pure, and PULSE series for its Radeon RX 7800 XT & RX 7700 XT GPU offerings. The Nitro and Pure come with a triple-fan cooling solution in silver and white color schemes. The Pulse features a simple aesthetic with a dual-fan & dual-slot cooling solution. All cards are powered by dual 8-pin connectors with the top models getting a factory overclock.

In addition to these, Yeston, Biostar, and Vastarmor are also introducing their new designs such as the SAKURA which is one of the most unique-looking designs of the bunch.

Most of these cards, if not all, will be launching on retail shelves on the 6th of September, 2023. Expect more information such as clock speeds for each variant and their respective prices in the coming days.
