An AMD Ryzen 7 1800X has been overclocked to 4GHz on all 8 cores and benchmarked. This leak comes from the infamous Chiphell Chinese forums so please take it with the usual grain of salt. Although from looking at the actual results, this leaks appears to be a legitimate one.

AMD Ryzen 7 1800X All 8 Cores Overclocked To 4.0GHz & Benchmarked

Alrighty, onto the benchmarks. The Ryzen 7 1800X runs at stock at a 3.6GHz base (all cores) and up to 4.1GHz boost (single core with XFR) so this 4.0GHz overclock on all cores is a relatively small one that amounts to very slightly over 10%. There was no mention of the cooling used. However, based on the fact that AMD provided a Noctua NH-U12S air cooler in its Ryzen reviewers kit, a 4.0GHz overclock is likely achievable on air.

At 4.0GHz across all cores the Ryzen 7 1800X scores an impressive1746 points. Compared to a stock 1800X this is roughly an 8% improvement and puts it within striking distance of the much more expensive 10-core i7 6950X Extreme Edition.

At 4.0GHzits single-threaded score declines very slightly, which isn't surprising considering that without any overclock the 1800X boosts to 4.0GHzplus an additional 100Mhzfrom XFR takes it to 4.1GHz.

AMD Ryzen 7 1700X & 1700 Rumored To Achieve4GHz On All 8 Cores With Air Cooling

Another Chiphell user published photos of two Ryzen chips, the 1700X and 1700. The user claimed to have managed to overclock both chips to4.0GHzwithout much trouble on a GT7 motherboard. He also discussed XFR functionality and storage performance. XFR allegedlyadheres to a few strict parameters to deliver additional frequency boosts. These Include temperatures not exceeding 60c and power consumption not exceeding 128W. SATAperformance is allegedly comparable to Intel.
