AMD's low power Kabini and Temash SOCs are already shipping to OEMmanufacture's, the next generation chips bring improved architecture and graphics power to drive all day computing needs. An AMD Temash A6-1450 chip has been spotted in ACER's upcoming Aspire V5-122P-0643 notebook.
AMD Temash A6-1450 Based ACER Aspire Notebook Spotted
The AMD Temash A6-1450 SOC features a Quad core design ramping up the clock speed to 1 GHz in stock and 1.4 GHz in Turbo mode. Based on the latest 28nm Jaguar core architecture, the chip features improved performance per watt compared to the Bobcat based Brazos 2.0 processors. The chip comes with 2 MB of L2 cache and has a 4-6 Watt TDP which is pretty impressive for the new architecture by AMD. In addition to the CPU, the graphics part is based on the latestHD 8280 iGPU that is clocked at 300 (idle) and 500 MHz (load) clock frequencies. The graphics make use of AMD's NUMA (Non-Uniform memory access) architecture and the notebook is equipped with a 2 GB DDR3 memory.
