AMD’s Next-Gen Zen 5 CPUs Get Improved Support Within AIDA64
AMD’s Next-Gen Zen 5 CPUs Get Improved Support Within AIDA64-August 2024
Aug 9, 2025 9:40 PM

AIDA64 has just released its latest update which adds improved support for AMD's next-gen Zen 5 CPUs among a list of various features & improvements.

AIDA64 Adds Next-Gen PCIe 6.0 Hardware & AMD Zen 5 CPU Support In Latest Version

The AIDA64 v6.92 update brings with it a range of updates, mainly in terms of hardware support. As mentioned in the title above, the software monitoring and diagnostic utility now adds support for AMD's Zen 5 CPUs. Almost a year ago, HWiNFO also added preliminary support for AMD Zen 5 CPUs but the keyword is in the "Improved" support here. The AMD Zen 5 CPUs have also received support within Linux patches and we have seen some early samples leak out but there's still some time before we get to see them in action, officially.

Other than that, the major changes to the AIDA64 include brand new AVX-512 benchmarks for Intel Xeon Sapphire Rapids & Emerald Rapids CPUs while optimizing the existing AVX-512 Julia & Mandel benchmarks. These benchmarks support the AVX-512 capabilities on both Intel and AMD hardware. Do note that AMD is currently the only CPU platform that provides mainstream AVX-512 support as Intel has removed that from its recent client offerings though it might reappear with the new AVX10 ISA.

The latest AIDA64 update introduces AVX-512 optimized benchmarks for Intel Sapphire Rapids processors, and supports the latest AMD and Intel CPU platforms as well as the new graphics and GPGPU computing technologies by AMD, Intel and nVIDIA.

The addition of PCIe 6.0 controllers and devices is also notable here since these will be targeting next-gen Data Center platforms by 2024-2025. The full list of changes in AIDA64 can be seen below:
