Apple Finally Fixes Siri Remote Issues With Latest tvOS 16.3.3 Update-February 2024
Feb 12, 2026 7:37 PM

Apple has just released tvOS 16.3.3, and it fixes Siri Remote (USB-C model) issues that the latest Apple TV 4K users have been facing.

tvOS 16.3.3 bug fix update released for third-generation Apple TV 4K users with the fix for Siri Remote connectivity issues

Right off the bat, everyone should know that this update is only available for the latest Apple TV 4K model, which was announced and released at the end of last year. This model ships with the new Siri Remote with a USB-C port at the bottom instead of Lightning.

You can download and install the update right away by going to Settings > System > Software Update on your latest Apple TV 4K. Make sure you install the update right away if your Siri Remote becomes unresponsive for no apparent reason. This update will, hopefully, fix all those issues which Apple TV users have been facing since launch.

From Apple’s tvOS support document:

This update fixes an issue where the Siri Remote can become unresponsive on Apple TV 4K (3rd generation).

This issue has been plaguing several users in the past, and I was one of them. It’s mega annoying when you pick up the Siri Remote, and it does not do anything at all. Sometimes it did, at close range, and would respond to clicks and swipes in a completely random manner. You could try to fix the issue by restarting the Siri Remote - yes, you can do that - but it was only temporary.

Thankfully, with the arrival of tvOS 16.3.3, the issue should be fixed for everyone out there if you have a third-generation Apple TV 4K. And I will say it again, go ahead and download the update now if you almost wanted to return your Apple TV to Apple and get a refund.

Again, this update is not available for any other Apple TV model. It’s only available for the latest third-generation Apple TV 4K with A15 Bionic and USB-C Siri Remote.
