A Japanese store has got their hands on ASUS ROG Maximus IV GENE-Z Motherboard which is based on the Intel Z-68 Chipset and supports the current generation Sandy Bridge Processors.
The Maximus IV Gene-Z is part of Asus's ROG (Republic of Gamer) Series Lineupfor hardware enthusiasts and overclockers. The board features a Micro-ATX Form Factor size but still includes a handful of features which include 4 DDR3DIMM Slots supporting 32GB memory in Dual Channel Configurations withfrequenciesof DDR3 2200/2133/1866/1600/1333 ,LucidLogix Virtu ™ graphics virtualization engine, and the Intel ® Quick Sync Video to achieve a faster video conversion along with Intel’s SRT (Smart Response Technology).
A total of 2 PCI-e x16 slots offer fullbandwidthCrossfire and SLI Multi-GPUfunctionalityalong with a singleMini PCI-e Slot.The board includes 4 USB 3.0 ports (2 Internal and 2 on backside) and a total of 10 USB 2.0 ports (4 Internal and 6 External), Other connectivity ports include E-Sata, Gigabit Ethernet, SPDIF connector, I/O connector, Audio port, Firewire and a Clear Cmos Switch.
