We're happy to reveal that iOS 13 beta 2 or iPadOS 13 beta 2 can be downloaded without a developer account on iPhone, iPad, iPod touch.

When Apple released the first betas of iOS 13 and iPadOS 13, we were somewhat left in shock that the update was available as a full IPSW for clean installation only and the over the air method was nowhere to be seen. It's understandable, because loads of people jump onboard to try out the new software and the initial release was nothing but a hot buggy mess compared to the second one.

Now, Apple is widening the scope of the iOS 13 and iPadOS 13 beta updates and those with a registered account with Apple can go ahead and download the new firmware without having to download the complete IPSW file. This means that you just have to download a profile onto your deviceand you're good to go. However, even that method will set you back money until or unless you're ready to wait a few more weeks for the public beta to arrive which is free.

That's not how we work, though. Today, you can download and install iOS 13 beta 2 or iPadOS 13 beta 2 without signing up with Apple. It's a simple case of downloading this profile [download link] onto your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and then downloading the update from Settings > General > Software Update.

However, before you go ahead, make sure that you have backed up everything to iCloud or iTunes just in case. This method will not wipe anything from your device and will simply update what's already on it to iOS 13 beta 2 or iPadOS 13 beta 2 without deleting anything. It's still a good idea to take a backup, since you never know when things might go south.

I know you're feeling adventurous and want to try out iOS 13 beta or iPadOS 13 beta ahead of everyone else. But please, I would still recommend waiting for the public beta to arrive next month. It will be a far more stable firmware which will be available to an even broader audience. But of course, what you choose to do here is entirely your call.
