Apple has released iOS 9.2 beta 1 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. The new pre-release build is available to download immediately for developers.
The First Beta Of iOS 9.2 Is Here For Developers
It came to our knowledge a few days back that Apple was testing iOS 9.2 behind closed doors, with different devices running the pre-release software build showing up in analytics of several websites. Today, Apple has released the first ever beta build of iOS 9.2 and is immediately available to those enrolled in the company's Developer Program.
At this point in time, it's hard to say what iOS 9.2 beta brings with it, but if past releases are anything to go by then it's a high chance that the software is no more than a bug squashing and performance enhancing release. But we're quite certain that Apple might have thrown small visual changes into the mix as well, and maybe something on the functionality front. If that is the case then we will definitely highlight it right here.
As we mentioned above, the new iOS 9.2 beta is available to download directly from the Apple Developer Program website, and you must be a paying dev in order to access the pre-release bits and install it onto your device. If you fulfill all the requirements then you can go ahead and download iOS 9.2 beta tailored for your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch directly from Apple's official dev website, then flash it onto your device using iTunes.
We highly recommend that you install iOS 9.2 beta on a device that is not your daily driver, since this is the first ever pre-release build of a mobile software. Also, at this point in time, it's hard to assess what might go wrong during day to day usage with iOS 9.2 installed. But given Apple's current track record regarding beta builds of its mobile OS, we're certain that iOS 9.2 would be stable enough for day to day usage.
It's great to see that Apple is working hard in the background to improve the overall functionality of its mobile OS, subsequently bringing an enhanced and superior user experience to its audience around the globe. We're quire certain that there are going to be a few beta releases before iOS 9.2 is deemed ready for prime time use, and we will also keep our readers updated whether or not the company would be running a public beta seed of its latest mobile software.
