Microsoft unveiled several new features on Windows 10 just three days back which included several upgrades to the Windows platform. At the Windows 10 consumer event held this 21st, the company showcased what we should expect from Windows 10 when it finally hits the shelves. Microsoft showcased several impressive features and changes on Windows 10 at its latest consumer event. One of these was Cortana, the company's upcoming virtual assistant for Windows 10 running on PCs and notebooks. Cortana received several upgrades this time around. Not only do these inlcude the ability to check your schedules, flights and the weather but now, with Cortana you'll also be able to access your photo libraries, powerpoint presentations and other documents, simply through voice commands.

In addition, Cortana will now also be able to access apps and your music library simply, once again, through voice commands. You'll also able to verbally dictate emails to Cortana, which'll compose and send them to your desired recipient. In addition, you also get to experience an all new Start Menu and a new Settings app in this build, alongside others. Things should be relatively smooth from here on for experienced Windows 10 users. But for those who're installing Microsoft's Technical Preview for the first time, you're going to need to follow a few steps first. All you need to do is sign up for the Windows Insider program on the Microsoft website, and download the ISO specific to your PC or notebook. You'll then need to create a bootable USB or burn the file to a DVD and boot your computer with this USB/ DVD. And voila! You have successfully experience Cortana for yourself now.
