The entire Windows update system has gone haywire since the Spectre and Meltdown chip flaws were reported earlier in January. Microsoft has already released and pulled back multiple patches, and today brings another cumulative build to Windows 10 Fall Creators Update. Today's release ofbuild 16299.214 follows the releases of builds16299.192 (carrying chip flaw patches) and build 16299.194 (carrying fix for an issue coming from the earlier build that affected some AMD devices). There was also the release16299.201 for 32-bit machines.

Windows 10Fall Creators Update cumulative build 16299.214 is now available for PCs, making it the third update that the Windows 10 FCU aka version 1709 has received since January's Patch Tuesday.
