Previously we came to know about Apple's acquisition of Workflow, a powerful automation app for iOS. The app lets users connect apps and create different shortcuts for different tasks. Interestingly, Apple did not terminate the app after the acquisition, but instead offered the app for free and added the team to its fold. Today, Apple has started informing customers who recently purchased the Workflow app that it will refund the full purchased amount. Let's dive in to see some more details on the subject.
Apple Refunding Full Purchase Amount Of The Workflow App To Customers Who Recently Purchased It
Apple's move to refund the purchased amount comes 10 days after the iOS automation platform was acquired. Apart from Apple's decision to make the app free for download, the company rolled out an update to remove the key functionality from it.
As for the refund, Apple is automatically sending the refund emails to all customers who purchased the Wokflow app recently. According to Apple, the full refund amount of $3.23 will be automatically credited back to the original payment method. Furthermore, the process will take place in the next five working days. As published by MacRumors, the email reads:
Dear iTunes Customer,
Thank you for purchasing Workflow by DeskConnect, Inc. Workflow is now available for free in the App Store. Since you recently purchased this app, we have issued you a full refund in the amount of $3.23. These funds will be applied to your original payment method and may take up to five business days from the issue date to post to your account.

For those of you who are completely unfamiliar with the app, it is an automation tool that creates a variety of workflows to automate tasks like translating an article, creating GIFs from photos, sharing photos to multiple social networks at the same time and much more. If you haven't checked out the app just yet, now might be a good time. Moreover, since it is now free, there's no reason to hold back.
The Workflow app is available on the App Store for free, so be sure to install it on your iOS device.
