Nvidia's upcoming Geforce GTX 460 which was recently pictured and detailed has beenconfirmedto beavailablein two different variants. The card which is based on the GF104 architecture was known to support 256-bit GDDR5memory but due to only 6 of the 32-bit wide channels occupied it was restricted to 192-bit and a 768Mbmemory. According to new reportsthe card will come in two variants, A 768Mb and a 1024Mb (1GB)memoryone. The 768Mb variant will have a 192-bit GDDR5memorybandwidth while the 1GB one will have a 256-bit GDDR5memorymaking it faster than the 768Mb variant due to the 25% higher memory bandwidth. Both the cards will have same clocks, 900 MHz (3600 MHz effective) of memory while the core clock will be 675Mhz coupled with 336 Cuda Cores. The cards are built on a 40Nm process at TSMC, The 768Mb will have a TDP of 150W while the 1GB will have a TDP of 160W. Reports also reveal that the 768Mb variant will be priced less than 200$ and will be released on 12th July.
