Based on the rumors we have heard in the past, the phone should be announced sometime in the second week of June, with an official announcement at Google I/O 2023, which is being held on 10th May 2023. So, there is a bit of conflict at the moment.

Now, the rumors that we have heard in the past also suggest that the Pixel 7a and the Pixel Fold are to be announced on the same day, with a similar release date. Google's Bard information does conflict with what we have heard, but then again, it's an AI chatbot, and Google did confirm that Bard will not always get the answers correct. Sadly, the user did not share the source that Bard used to get the answer from, which would have given us a better understanding of where that news is coming from.
