Dynamic Island is perhaps the most talked about feature of the iPhone 14 and the 14 Pro Max, and we all knew that this would be the feature that every smartphone manufacturer would gravitate towards. While the big players like Samsung have stayed away from it, Realme has finally come forward with their version of Dynamic Island, and they are calling it Mini Capsule.
Realme brings Dynamic Island to Android in an unannounced C-series smartphone, calls it the Mini Capsule
Madhav Sheth of Realme posted a Twitter image of an unnamed Realme C-series device that comes with this Dynamic Island, or as the company calls it, "Mini Capsule," and the feature looks exactly how you can see it on iPhones. You are getting a floating UI element that sits atop a display with a completely black interface to ensure the camera cutouts are not visible.
Shehth deleted the image, but Steve H. McFly/OnLeaks managed to grab a screenshot. Here's how it looks:

In addition to that, we also have a look at how this Mini Capsule works in these animations, courtesy of SmartPrix.

Honestly, say what you will about Realme's decision to bring Dynamic Island on their phone, this is not the first time. If you remember, a recent Xiaomi phone was spotted with the same feature. It is safe to say that Chinese manufacturers have started copying the most talked about feature of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro. Thankfully, Apple is not using any technology in Dynamic Island to make it entirely proprietary, but the company is continuously working with various developers to ensure that Dynamic Island can be as intuitive as possible in terms of improving the user experience.
At the same time, Android manufacturers are not slowing down. However, it is still not confirmed just how smooth and well integrated with the software this Mini Capsule or other renditions are going to be. Based on the small animation above, it looks smooth, but we will have to wait and see how it interacts with the rest of the apps, especially third-party ones.
Do you think Dynamic Island or Mini Capsule should be an integral part that more Android manufacturers should start bringing? Let us know what your thoughts are in the comments below.
