A developer has stumbled upon something in iOS 12 that makes it evident that Apple will launch an iPadProwith Face IDcapabilities. While that will mean you might have to pay a hefty sum for upcoming hardware, it also indicates brand new features coming to the tablet lineup.
iPad Pro Rumored to Feature an Octa-Core Processor and Slimmer Bezels, Giving It an iPhone X-Like Appearance
Steven Troughton-Smithcame across an iPad-ready implementation ofAvatarKit. AvatarKit is the software framework that Apple uses for its Animoji feature. Prior to this, only the AvatarKit framework was only included in the iPhone X firmware. Needless to say, iPhone X has a TrueDepth camera which performs real-time face tracking and its inclusion in the iOS 12 beta indicated that Apple is planning to release an iPad Pro with a similar hardware package.
This isn’t the first time that such evidence has been discovered. Previously, some tweaked iPad gestures that were similar to iPhone X’s gestures were also seen in iOS 12. They indicate the possibility of a tablet with an iPhone X style notch that houses a TrueDepth Camera System. However, this will also indicate that the upcoming tablet lineup will be released without a Home button, solid state or not.

Other rumors have also claimed that Apple is readying a new premium iPad Pro slated for this year which will embrace many of iPhone X’s design elements. The upcoming iPad Pro will reportedly feature thinner bezels, a custom GPU engineered by none other than Apple, a faster processor, which could possibly include an octa-core CPU, and ofcourse the TrueDepth camera system. Economic Daily Newsearlierhas claimed that Apple will release an iPad Pro with an 11-inch display. The new iPad Pro will sport a larger display but the dimensions will remain the same, whichis in line with the rumors that claim the slate will sport slimmer edges.
