Live Photos is a marquee feature of the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. The feature gives your regular photos an extra lease of life by recording a small, 3-second video along with the still image you are capturing. Sadly, the new Live Photos feature is only limited to the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, which means everyone is left out of the party, until or unless they dish out some cash and opt to buy Cupertino's brand new flagship handsets. Or are they? Thanks to a jailbreak tweak, you can enable the Live Photos feature on any iPhone model on the fly.
You Can Now Get Live Photos On Any iPhone Model
The tweak, which goes by the name ofEnableLivePhotos, is available to download directly from the BigBoss repo in Cydia for an amazing price of just zero bucks, enables Live Photos on any iPhone model which you might have in hand. Keep in mind that you need to be jailbroken if you're looking to reap the benefits of this tweak.
Once you download theEnableLivePhotos tweak onto your iPhone, all you need to do is respring your device in order to enable things and start shooting Live Photos. There are absolutely no options to configure, and if you don't like the tweak for some reason, simply launch Cydia once again and get rid of the tweak if you so wish.
The tweak adds a brand new Live Photos button in the stock Camera app, and it works exactly in the same manner as it would on the iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus. The button lives in the top center of the Camera app, and it looks like a dart board icon. When the icon is yellow, it means that every photo you'll snap from that point onwards will be a live one. If it's grey, then well, it means that the Live Photos feature is off.
We recommend that you give the feature a shot on your iPhone, specially if you're looking to get a taste of the new iPhone 6s on your current smartphone without spending a dime. After all, the tweak is free!
