Canon just released a new utility called EOS Webcam Utility that allows you to simply plug your Canon camera to your computer using a USB cable and start using the dedicated camera as a webcam. While this is certainly an impressive thing, we are not sure just how much people are going to pay attention during your meetings, but for those who are interested in knowing how to do that, you can check the list of supported cameras. Canon has included a fair number of devices across the board.

Start by downloading and installingEOS Webcam Utility on the computer.Turn on your camera, switch it to video mode, and adjust the exposure along with other settings that you wish to.Once you have dialled in your settings, connect the camera using the USB cable to the computer.Now launch the video calling software and choose EOS Webcam Utility Betafrom the menu where you would normally choose a webcam device from, and you're all set.

The software does support Microsoft Teams, Zoom, BlueJeans, and considering how it is still in beta stages, we can definitely expect a longer list of supported video conferencing applications.
