Following the launch of the flagship Galaxy S21 series earlier this year, Samsung held another Galaxy Unpacked unveiling today, April 28. Like most recent tech and media events, Samsung’s April 28 Unpacked took place virtually, rather than in-person, giving Galaxy fans an opportunity to livestream the presentation and watch the company unveil its “most powerful Galaxy” to date.

Everything announced at Galaxy Unpacked

Image used with permission by copyright holderAs expected, Samsung announced two new highly-rumored laptops, the Galaxy Book Pro and Galaxy Book Pro 360. They are ultra-thin laptops — one a clamshell and one a 2-in-1 convertible. They both come in a completely redesigned chassis and sport new AMOLED screens in all configurations, including the $999 13-inch model. That just might make it the cheapest OLED laptops ever sold.

The Galaxy Book Pro and Galaxy Book Pro 360 both come powered by Intel 11th-gen processors, and will be available for purchase starting on May 14.

Samsung also had a bit of a surprise up its sleeve in the form of a slim new gaming laptop, the Galaxy Book Odyssey. The 15.6-inch gaming laptop comes with a previously unannounced Nvidia RTX 3050 Max-Q or 3050 Ti graphics card. Nvidia rarely lets other companies announce new GPUs, so this one came as quite a surprise.

The Galaxy Book Odyssey will start at $1,400 and will be available in August.
