The launch of HTC’s new One X smartphone (or better referred to as superphone now) is just a few weeks away. One AT&T employee busy in testing the phone has provided benchmarks of the new dual core phone that is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon S4 SoC CPU that sure packs a bang with it!

And straight off as you can see Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4 SoC annihilates the competition by quite a huge mile. A surprise to many if it may be, the S4 outpaces the Tegra 3 quad core by a large margin. The benchmarks used by the AT&T employee were Vellamo and Quadrant.

So far, looks like Qualcomm’s engineering paid off A LOT this time as it will be the most efficient ARM chip available on the market.

As far for those of you who don’t know, the HTC One X is a 1.5 GHz Quad Core Tegra 3/Dual Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 SoC phone that runs Google Android 4.0 better known as Ice Cream Sandwich with HTC Sense 4 with an onboard memory of 32GB and 1GB of ram. The rear packs an autofocus 8 megapixel camera with an LED flash and BSI sensor for low light image captures. This has also a front 1.3 megapixel front facing camera (1080p videos play standard, 720p for video chat) with Beats Audio and runs both on GSM and CDMA networks.

So if you plan to get the HTC One X for yourself, a couple of weeks wait is nothing compared to what you will be getting your hands on soon!
