Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE root has been achieved running on the Android 4.2.2 XXUAMD2 firmware. It has been released several weeks before the smartphone will hit the market. Prerequisites to root XXUAMD2 Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean on Galaxy S4 i9505 LTE:

Create the backup of all the important data that is currently stored on your SGS4.Make sure to disable any running anti-virus programs on your computer along with Samsung KIES.Enable USB Debugging option on your Galaxy S4 LTE.Ensure to have the battery power charge level more than 60%.

Important:This Android 4.2.2 XXUAMD2 is only for SGS4 i9505, do not try it on the i9500.

How to install XXUAMD2 Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean on Galaxy S4 i9505 LTE:

Required files: download the XXUAMD2 root file fromhere. Unzip the contents save the files in a folder on your PC. Download the Odin 3.07 fromhere. Unzip and place in a folder on your computer.

Switch off your Samsung Galaxy S4 and boot the Galaxy S4 LTE into the Download Mode by pressing and holding the Volume Down + Home + Powerbuttons simultaneously. Release the buttons when the screen flickers and follow the instructions shown on the screenNext, launch the Odin exe on your pc.Click on PDA button in ODIN and browse for the CF-Auto-Root-jflte-jfltexx-gti9505.tar.md5file from the firmware folder. Load it into Odin.Do not change any otherdefault settings of Odinand ensure thatRe-Partition option is disabled.Now connect your Samsung Galaxy S4 to your computer using the USB cable. When connected, ODIN will display a confirmation message saying Added!!.Press the Startbutton to initiate the root process. When the rooting process is done, your SGS4 LTE i9505 will automatically restart.Disconnect it from the computer and wait for the smartphone to show you the Android 4.2.2 XXUAMD2 welcome screen.

Note: When the SGS4 restarts, it should display a red Android on its display during the boot. If it doesn't, then boot your device in the recovery mode and do the following:

Switch your galaxy S4 off and remove the battery. Re-insert the battery after 30 seconds or so.Boot the phone into Recovery mode by pressing Volume Up + Home + Powerkeys simultaneously.Go forreboot system nowand wait until the phone boots into the normal mode.
