Intel Core Ultra 5 135U “Meteor Lake” 12-Core CPU Leaks Out With Benchmarks, Only Two P-Cores-March 2024
Mar 31, 2026 6:50 PM

A brand new Intel Core Ultra 5 135U "Meteor Lake" CPU has appeared within the Geekbench database with an unusual core count.

Intel Core Ultra 5 135U Features 12 Cores & 14 Threads, Meteor Lake's Most Weirdest Configuration Yet

The Intel Core Ultra 5 135U "Meteor Lake" CPU leaked within the Geekbench 6 database and what makes it unusual is its core configuration which doesn't match up with its sibling, the Core Ultra 5 135H nor the other "U" SKUs. This particular SKU is configured with 12 cores and 14 threads and you might be guessing what's so unusual about this.

Well, the 12 core configurations come in a 2 P-Core (Redwood Cove), 8 E-Core (Crestmonth), and 2 low-power E-Cores (Crestmont). This is not a configuration that we have seen yet and other specs include 12 MB of L3 cache with clock speeds ranging between 2.10 GHz base and 4.4 GHz boost. It being a U-series chip means that we are looking at a TDP of 9-15W. The CPU was configured on an upcoming laptop with 32 GB of DDR5 memory.

As for performance, the Intel Core Ultra 5 135U "Meteor Lake" CPU scored 2174 points in single-core and 9396 points in the multi-core tests within Geekbench 6. These numbers are nothing to write home about and it does seem to be a case of poor optimizations or the chip being an early sample. Following is the performance reflected in the charts:

The Intel Core Ultra 5 135U is amongst the 10 Meteor Lake SKUs that have been leaked so far. As the 1st Gen Core Ultra family grows, we can expect even more details in the coming days. The 1st Gen Core Ultra "Meteor Lake" lineup is officially going to debut on the 14th of December and once again, reports suggest that the chips will be available in limited quantities with the higher-end Core Ultra 9 SKUs hitting shelves in early 2024.
