Intel Core Ultra 9 185H “Meteor Lake” CPU Boasts 5.1 GHz Clocks In First Geekbench Entry
Intel Core Ultra 9 185H “Meteor Lake” CPU Boasts 5.1 GHz Clocks In First Geekbench Entry-April 2024
Apr 1, 2026 5:29 PM

Intel's Meteor Lake Core Ultra 9 185H CPU has made its debut in the Geekbench benchmark data-base, flaunting up to 5.1 GHz clock speeds.

Intel's Core Ultra 9 185H "Meteor Lake" CPU Natively Crosses The 5 GHz Barrier In First Geekbench Benchmark Entry

Intel's upcoming Meteor Lake CPUs have been talking rounds when it comes to leaks, and with Core Ultra 9 185H, it's safe to say that we have seen a "well-rounded" glimpse of the lineup. The listing validates that the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H would feature 16 Cores (6 P-Cores + 8 E-Cores + 2 LP E-Cores) and 22 threads, along with a maximum frequency touching the 5.1 GHz barrier. The irregularity here is the mentioned base frequency of the CPU, which is rated at 2.5 GHz, which is much lower than what we have seen with other Intel counterparts.

Moreover, the data shows that the testing was done in the older Geekbench V5.4, hence the results may have some inaccuracies and could show a change with official benchmarks. Regardless of it, the listing shows that Intel's Core Ultra 9 185H managed to obtain a score of 1849 at single-core and 9832 at multi-core. If we look at the current score, it is evident that the CPU falls short of several Intel and AMD counterparts, but let's not jump to conclusions here.

If we talk about Intel's future Intel Meteor Lake "Core Ultra 9" SKUs, one thing is sure: they are jam-packed with cutting-edge technologies. We have only seen the "Core Ultra 9 185H" CPU, offering a 6+8+2 core configuration. This includes 6 Performance cores based on the Redwood Cove P-Core architecture, 8 Efficiency cores on Crestmont E-Core architecture, and an additional two Low-Power E-Cores using the same architecture found within the SOC tile. They are expected to be the first batch of Meteor Lake processors tobreak the 5GHz barrier natively.

Intel is expected to showcase "Meteor Lake" offerings by December 14th, if things go the right way. However, the availability of high-end "Core Ultra 9" laptops could be delayed to 2024, since Intel is currently focusing on the mid-tier SKUs within the lineup.
