Intel's Core i9-14900K "Raptor Lake Refresh" has been benchmarked in two rendering applications, achieving an impressive creation performance.
Intel Core i9-14900K CPU Achieves Impressive Rendering Benchmark Performance But AMD Ryzen 9 7950X Stays Ahead
Intel's Raptor Lake Refresh lineup is set for release soon, and the flagship model within the series is all set to dominate benchmarking rankings. Based on recent results, it can be said that the Core i9-14900K, for now, is the undisputed king amongst Intel's own offerings. The CPU has been tested in V-Ray 5 & Blender Benchmark v3.6 benchmarks, and the figures show that the Intel Core i9-14900K CPU performs well and offers a nice boost over the 13900K in rendering workloads.

Blender Benchmark v3.6
Starting with the Blender Benchmarks, the Intel Core i9-14900K CPU managed to secure a median score of 559.86, surpassing the Core i9-13900KS by 6% but being slightly slower than AMD Ryzen 9 7950X. That's a minor performance bump which should be in line with the +200 MHz clock speed that is the only change the 14900K has to offer over its predecessor.

Speaking of specifications, the Intel Core i9-14900K CPU will feature 24 cores & 32 threads in an 8+16 configuration. The CPU will feature up to 36 MB of Smart Cache and a base TDP of 125W (253W PL2). It will feature clock speeds of 3.2 GHz at base & up to 6.0 GHz with a Thermal Velocity Boost. This will be a +200 MHz frequency jump over the Core i9-13900K and the same as the Core i9-13900KS. That extra bump in core count and frequency makes it a solid choice for rendering scenarios.
Those interested in knowing about the respective prices of the models within Raptor Lake Refresh were listed by a Canadian retailer a while ago, giving a ballpark figure of what to expect. The lineup is scheduled to launch on the 17th of October.
