Updating to iOS 10.3 - How to

You will be pleased to learn that you can download the update over the air without losing your files. Simply follow the steps outlined below on how to do just that.

Connect to a WiFi network.Make sure your device's battery is over 50% otherwise you will be required to connect it to a charger.Navigate to Settings > General > Software Update.Once the iOS 10.3 update shows up, tap on Download and Install.To complete the installation, your device will restart once, so make sure you have sorted everything out well before that.

If you wish to take the iTunes route of updating your device then kick things off by installing or launching iTunes on your PC or Mac. You can download it by heading over to apple.com/itunes.

Launch iTunes and connect your iPhone or iPad to your PC / Mac using a USB cable.Once your device shows up on the upper left hand corner, click on it.Now click not the Check for Update button. If there are available updates, they will be downloaded and installed on your device.

Note: Please make sure you do not accidentally click on the Restore iPhone button. It will erase everything off your device and you will lose everything. Make sure you have made an iTunes or iCloud backup beforehand.
