The third iOS 9.3 public beta is now available toall testers with an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.

iOS 9.3 Public Beta 3 Lands For All Testers

Apple released iOS 9.3 beta 3 to registered developers at the start of this week, but left public testers out in the cold. All of that changes today however, as iOS 9.3 public beta 3 is now available for all testers, and can be grabbed over the air immediately.

If you're a public tester and were hoping to find something new in this build, then you'll be somewhat disappointed, as iOS 9.3 public beta 3 is the same as the latest developer oriented release.

Unlike the developer oriented release, the public beta is absolutely free to download, and is only available as an over the air update. Simply point your Web browser to beta.apple.com to register your device and get downloading.

If you're already running an old iOS 9.3 public beta build on your device and wish to upgrade to the third beta, then connect your iPhone or iPad to a stable WiFi connection, launch the Settings app, tap on General, then Software Update. Here you'll be presented with the new beta 3 download, simply tap on 'Download and Install' and you're good to go.

If you're downloading iOS 9.3 beta for the first time then we highly recommend that you do so on a device that is not your daily driver. iOS 9.3 is currently in beta, and is essentially unfinished software, with bugs and performance issues lingering in places where one least expects themto be.

iOS 9.3 is a big update in terms of features, bug fixes and of course, performance enhancements. With features like Night Shift mode, Cupertino is absolutely pushing the boundaries of what an iOS device should be capable of doing.

While we are anxiously waiting for the final update to drop, it should be worth noting that we will at least see one more beta update before the final build is rolled out. But given how much stable iOS 9.3 is in its current form, it's quite possible that Apple will deem it necessary to release the firmware update in the coming weeks or days. But we will reserve our judgement for the time being.

If you're a public beta tester then we highly recommend that you update your device straight away and do not hesitate at all. The new update brings with it a handful of stability and performance enhancements, improving the overall user experience for everyone out there.
