Some iPhone 15 Pro renders showing a design change, along with the inclusion of a USB-C port, have popped up online, giving us an in-depth look at the upcoming flagship’s exterior. Not only do we get a closer view of the camera bump but also the slimmer bezels and curved edges, which is a difference that we have reported previously.

New iPhone 15 Pro now resembles the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models, with the glass curving more smoothly around the edges

The collaboration between 9to5Mac and extremely talented freelance 3D artist Ian Zelbohas produced these iPhone 15 Pro renders. A CAD model was provided to the publication by a ‘reliable case manufacturer’ as these companies generally receive accurate details prior to the launch of a smartphone. Inaccurate details sent to accessory manufacturers would mean that it would cost them more in the long run.

Coming to the renders, the iPhone 15 Pro has switched from Lightning to USB-C, which we talked about in a leak that was covered a few hours ago. Aside from that, the premium handset sports thinner bezels than its direct predecessor, the iPhone 14 Pro, ensuring a smaller footprint while maintaining the same display size. This will make the upcoming flagship easier to hold, which is a positive change, especially for consumers with smaller hands.

Also, if you thought the camera bump could not get any bigger, you thought wrong. Based on these new renders, the iPhone 15 Pro will feature upgraded sensors or lenses, though the exact specifications are unavailable to us now. Also, the curvature on the edges makes it seem that the handset resembles Apple’s newest 2023 MacBook Pro models.

The Dynamic Island is still present on the iPhone 15 Pro, but we did not expect any change there. In fact, all iPhone 15 models launching later this year are said to get the Dynamic Island, so it is a plus for any customer who did not upgrade to an iPhone 14 last year or this year. Looking at the comparison, the iPhone 15 Pro Max should sport the same physical changes as the smaller version, though Apple could take it one step further by adding a periscope zoom lens.
