Apple updated its entire software lineup today. But along with that, iTunes saw a bump in version number as well. Now sitting at version 12.6.2, the new iTunes release does not contain new features at all. Instead, it focuses on polishing the app even further, bringing better performance to the table while fixing a bunch of bugs as well.

If you are a heavy iTunes user then it's a no-brainer that you should update to the latest build straight away. Mac users can simply go to the Mac App Store and download the iTunes 12.6.2 from there. Just make sure you head over to the Updates tab after launching the Mac App Store.
