Google has finally started rolling out the latest Android feature drop for June 2023, and the new update is bringing some really nice features to phones as well as the Wear OS watches. In addition to that, there are some exclusive features that will make your experience even better if you want to go ahead and make use of them.
The latest Android feature drop is an excellent way for Google making the overall user experience much better
So, what does the Android feature drop for June bring? Well, several things. You are getting changes to Google News, Google Play Books, Gboard, and more. All Android devices running on Android 6 or later are now getting three widgets for Google TV, Finance, and News. If you want to keep up to date with all the information provided by these apps, you can just use the widgets.
Moving on, Emoji Kitchen has received a new feature that lets you create "summer-themed" emoji stickers you can send out. The feature is available on all Android devices running Android 6 and later. Last but not least, Devices running Android 8 will be getting Reading Practice in the U.S., a feature that is a part of the Google Play Books, and will act as a tutor for anyone who is looking to learn while reading.

Moving on, the new Android feature drop is not limited to phones; it also brings some notable improvements to Wear OS-powered devices. For instance, smartwatches running Wear OS 2 and Wear OS 3 in the U.S., U.K., Ireland, and Canada will have access to Spotify DJ, letting users play a personalized list of content taken straight from their rotation or podcasts. In addition to that, a new selection of complications along with widgets is also coming to all users with access to Spotify on their Wear OS smartwatch.
In addition, the latest Android feature drop also brings Google Wallet ticket support, which essentially turns your smartwatch into a tap-to-ride ticket. This is happening thanks to the SmartTrip and Clipper card import feature and will be available to Wear OS 2 and Wear OS 3 devices running in San Francisco and Washington, D.C.
Last but not least, all Wear OS 3 device owners will have a new Google Keep Note tile for anyone who likes to take notes on the go. The feature is available to all the supported smartwatches across the world.
Aside from all the features coming via the Android feature drop, Google has also announced a new feature called the Dark Web report for Google One on Android devices along with all the supported browsers. As the name suggests, the feature would allow users in the U.S. to ensure that their email addresses are not compromised; you can also run scans of your social security numbers in the same way. Google plans to roll these features out in other countries in the coming months, and we believe from there, it will expand even further. For complete information, head over here.
