If everything goes according to plan, Samsung will release a host of devices later this year, including the brand new Galaxy Z Fold 5, the Galaxy Z Flip 5, and some new wearables. Now, we know that the company is also planning on releasing a new Galaxy SmartTag variant with a host of new changes and upgrades, along with Galaxy Buds 3.

The report we have our hands on suggests that Samsung will host its next Galaxy Unpacked in August 2023. This makes sense since this is the time designated by the company for all its events. In addition to that, the report also suggests that the company is working on a number of new devices aside from the two foldable phones we already know about. The new devices will include the Galaxy Buds 3 and the Galaxy SmartTag.

The next-generation Galaxy SmartTag will be improved in a lot of ways. For instance, you are going to get a better range, an even more stable connection, along with longer battery as compared to the original tracker that was released almost three years ago in 2021. You will also get better security features, and Samsung will ensure that unauthorized tracking becomes impossible.

The report also points out that the next-generation Galaxy SmartTag will use Samsung's SmartThings and will offer full integration. Not just that, once integrated, users can use the tags to activate various systems, dim lights, and even control their smart TV. If the integration goes through, you can control all Samsung smart home devices with just your tags, which is an impressive feature.

Sadly we don't know any other details about Samsung's upcoming Galaxy SmartTags. Still, judging by all the information we have received so far, it seems like August's Galaxy Unpacked will be the largest in terms of device announcements. If you recall, the last Galaxy Unpacked only had the Galaxy S23. Still, the one happening in August will have several devices ranging from the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Buds 3, Galaxy Watch 6, and the new smart tags, of course. We are not sure if Samsung is going to announce all of these devices at the same event or will have separate events for the tablets and wearables, but we will keep you posted as we hear more.
