The iPhone 15 Pro models will come with a wide range of changes that will set the device apart from the standard models. Since the standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models are getting a new Dynamic Island display, the company will offer a wider variety of features with the 'Pro' models. We have previously heard that Apple's forthcoming flagships will move away from solid-state buttons in favor of physical keys. Seemingly, a lifelike dummy unit of the iPhone 15 Ultra appears to share interesting details and features.
iPhone 25 Ultra dummy unit is the closest you will get to the forthcoming device as it features slimmer bezels, USB-C, and an elongated button for volume controls
It was previously rumored that Apple will release a new iPhone 15 Ultra model later this year. It is unclear if the company will rename the iPhone 15 Pro Max or if it would launch a brand-new model. Nonetheless, there are pretty exciting changes coming with the iPhone 15 Ultra. We will see more details on the software side of things at Apple's WWDC 2023 event, but in terms of hardware, there are a boatload of aspects that you should be looking forward to. YouTube channel Unbox Therapy has shared a new video showcasing the lifelike dummy unit of the iPhone 15 Ultra.
The iPhone 15 Ultra dummy unit aims to show what we should be looking forward to later this year. The dummy unit was made in China, and according to Lewis states that case manufacturers seem to get their hands on the dimensions and other details early to begin mass production of related accessories. If the statement has any heft to it, we might be looking at the final design of the product. Check out more details on the design below.
On first look, the iPhone 15 Ultra dummy unit aims to show a clean matte finish on the back, even more so than the iPhone 14 Pro Max. The camera plateau appears to be identical, but we have previously reported that it might see a bump in size compared to the current flagships. Other than this, the unit is slightly thicker than the current models. This means that Apple could potentially house a bigger battery and keep the camera bump at bay as sensors share more space with the chassis.
Bezel Comparison Between iPhone 15 Ultra Dummy Unit and iPhone 14 Pro Max
In the front, the bezels are seen to be significantly slimmer. The iPhone 14 Pro Max, in comparison, looks old school from the front. If Apple does go ahead with its plans, the iPhone 15 Ultra could feature one of the slimmest bezels on any smartphone. The bezels have completely revamped the look of the device and are a welcome addition. The iPhone 15 Ultra dummy unit also houses a USB-C port which will be a major update from Lightning, offering faster data transfer and charging speeds.
Lastly, the iPhone 15 Ultra dummy unit also features a single elongated button for volume controls. The elongated volume button was rumored to adopt as a solid-state solution, but since Apple has reserved the feature for next year's iPhones, we could see the same button layout as the iPhone 14 Pro models. The dummy unit also houses a dedicated Action Button like the Apple Watch Ultra instead of the Mute Switch. The button would be responsible for handling a wide range of functions, as users would have the option to customize it. You can check out everything you can do with the Action Button here. You can check out the video embedded above for more details.
This is all there is to it, folks. We are still months away from iPhone 15 launch, so be sure to take the news with a grain of salt. Apple could see fit to alter the design and keep the same changes as well. We will keep you guys updated on the latest with additional details. Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
