Apple has recently announced that it will be hosting its 'Scary Fast' event on Monday, October 30. The company is expected to launch its new M3 series of chips, which will deliver enhanced computational and graphical performance. Apple will also introduce upgraded versions of the MacBook Air and potentially the highly anticipated 24-inch iMac with M3 chips. According to the latest, Apple will announce the new M3 Macs on the 30th, but the launch could take place on Wednesday, November 8.

Apple to launch new M3 Macs on November 8 as pre-orders will begin soon after the event

According to information gathered by MacRumors, Apple plans to launch the new MacBook Air and 24-inch iMac on November 8. This means that the announcement will take place on October 30, and pre-orders will begin soon after the event is over. The new machines would take another few days to see daylight on November 8. If you are planning to upgrade to the latest Macs, pre-order as soon as possible if you want the machine as early as November 8. If you fail to do so, your pre-order will be queued for a later date.

As for what to expect, Apple will potentially upgrade the new 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models with its latest M3 chip. There is a slight possibility that the company will only upgrade the 13-inch MacBook Air as the 15-inch model was announced a few months ago. However, taking into account Apple's declining Mac shipments, there are solid chances that the 15-inch models will be upgraded with the latest M3 chip.

The company also plans to announce the new 24-inch iMac, which will feature more or less the same design as the current version. The machine will also be powered by the M3 chip, which could be the higher configuration version of the SoC. We have previously heard that the company has redesigned the internals of the stand, which could give users more options to adjust the angle of the screen. Apple could also announce new color options, which is more than welcome.

Lastly, users have been expecting a redesigned 13-inch MacBook Pro with upgraded internals for a while. The 13-inch MacBook is the only MacBook with a Touch Bar, and the company could ditch it in favor of a notch. Furthermore, the bezels of the MacBook Pro could be trimmed. It was recently reported that Apple has no plans to upgrade the 13-inch MacBook Pro at its Scary Fast event, but we can also expect a surprise from Apple.
