macOS Sierra Beta 8 & Public Beta 7 Are Now Available To Download

Apple released macOS Sierra beta 8 alongside macOS Sierra Public Beta 7 a while back. Given how furiously Apple updated its software lineup just recently, excluding macOS, it made us wonder if the Cupertino giant had forgotten about its desktop operating system. But of course, that confusion is now gone as new beta builds of its upcoming desktop platform havejust landed.

Both betas can be downloaded over the air, given you have a previous beta of it installed on your Mac. And luckily for us, the steps for updating are exactly the same for both developers and public betas, therefore you do not have to scramble yourself to get things done.

Let's dive right into the update procedure itself.

Connect to a stable Internet connection and save all your work. Now launch the Mac App Store.Click on the 'Updates' tab at the top of the active Mac App Store window.Wait for the store to refresh and the new pre-release build will pop right up. Just click on the 'Update' button and you're good to go.

We asked our readers to save their work as installingnew beta builds require you to restart your Mac. So, before that happens it's best to be prepared beforehand.

Wrap Up

The final release date of Apple's new software lineup is not too far off. The company yesterday sent out invites to its iPhone 7 event, and we're dead sure the stage will be used to announce the final release date of every bit of software the company hassitting in beta. Until then, you either have to be a registered developer to try everything out.

You also have the option to try out the software by enrolling in Apple's Beta Software Program. But the scope is somewhat limited as it only offers iOS 10 and macOS Sierra to download. If you want to try out watchOS 3 and tvOS 10 betas as well, then you have to drop some cash at Apple's Developer Program portal.
