More Helio P10 benchmarks And Specifications Surface – Easily Punishes Snapdragon 615 and 801-February 2024

Previously, we reported the Geekbench benchmarking results of Helio P10, and now more scores of the mid-ranged chipset have emerged, showing that MediaTek is just as serious as targeting the mid-ranged market as it is targeting the high-end one.

According to a source, Helio P10, also known as MT6755 sports an octa-core Cortex-A53 processor running at a speed of 2.0GHz. Though it features the same clock speed of the octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU running in Helio X10 (this clock speed is present in some smartphones), it is only running a Mali-T860 GPU with two cores, and while it is easily able to scale the performance of MT6752 (which features two cores belonging to Mali-T760), it still comes short in exceeding the capabilities of Helio X10. However, the plus side of having a Helio P10 run in your smartphone is the fact that it is comfortably able to beat chipsets like Snapdragon 801 and Snapdragon 615.

Keep in mind that the latter is fabricated on the 20nm node, making it much more expensive to manufacture compared to Helio P10, which is manufactured on the 28nm process. As a result, you will notice some significant differences in handset prices that are incorporated with Helio P10 and Snapdragon 615, which is another plus point as to why you should purchase a smartphone with MediaTek’s chipset present in it. According to the results that have been posted below, the mid-ranged chipset is able to gain a performance lead against MT6752 by 20 percent.

While this is minimal, Mali-T860 consumes 70 percent less power compared to Mali-T760, and that is really saying something. Apart from the performance and energy efficiency improvements, Helio P10 is also incorporated with a ton of features, which have been listed below:

In case you are wondering about the release date of Helio P10, you can expect the chipset to be present in smartphones either during the fourth quarter of 2015, or during the starting of 2016. Whatever time period it may be, MediaTek has comfortably able to secure its position in the mid-ranged SoC market. What did you guys think of the upcoming chipset? It is impressive from mid-tier point of view? Let us know your thoughts.
