The MSI-Z77A-G45 would be the entry level board based on the Z77 chipset. A 6 Phase VRM powers the CPU which is equipped with adequate heatsinks as seen on the other Z77 models. Socket is wired to four DDR3 DIMM slots which allow support for Dual channel 2667Mhz+ O.C memory.
Expansion slots include 2 PCI-e 3.0 x16 (x8/x8 electrical), 1 x PCI-e 2.0 x16 (x4 electrical), Four PCI-e 2.0 x1 and a single PCI legacy slot. CrossfireX along with SLI Multi-GPU support is added on the board. There are a total of 2 SATA 6Gbps and 4 SATA 3Gbps ports all wired to the Z77 chip.
I/O includes two USB 3.0 ports at the rear/ two through front panel header, 6 USB 2.0 ports, Gigabit Ethernet Lan,8-channel HD audio with optical and coaxial SPDIF outptus and DVI/HDMI/D-Sub connectors for display.
