Samsung's Exynos lineup has been around for a long time. Granted, the chip may not have seen the same success in the higher-end spectrum that the company had hoped for, but it still plays an essential part in the company. Not to forget, the Exynos 2400 could change things for the company and bring back the glory.
Samsung rebranding Exynos into Dream Chip could indicate a lot more to come
However, it now appears that there are plans to rebrand Exynos. A renowned tipster claims that Samsung is going to rebrand Exynos and name it Dream Chip. I do understand the need to rebrand after a long time, but the name does not make sense to me. Especially at the moment because it is just a name, and it will soon have numbers when the company releases more versions of it.
Goodbye Exynos.
Hello Dream Chip.

Now, naming convention aside, this is not something new in the tech industry. It frequently happens, and the source has also claimed that this will be a rebrand, which means that the future chipsets that Samsung launches will be called Dream Chip and not Exynos. Previously, we saw Qualcomm do this after the Snapdragon 888 when the company released the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, and now the same naming scheme can be seen across the board.
At the moment, we really don't have a lot of details on what Samsung's upcoming Dream Chip will be all about, but I honestly feel that this change, considering how big it is, should have happened before the release of the Exynos 2400. Especially when you look at the fact that there is a lot riding on the new chipset. The company has faced major backlash in the past because of poor performance and other similar issues and is in desperate need of a win.
