Image used with permission by copyright holderAs we race towards the launch of the Windows 10 Anniversary Update on August 2, Microsoft is still hard at work crushing bugs and making fixes. Over the course of the last ten days, the company has released four separate preview builds to Insider program subscribers for testing.

　　Yesterday, Microsoft started distributing build 14379 to users on PC and mobile who are signed up for the fast ring of updates. Given the frequency of builds released over the past couple of weeks, it shouldn’t be too much of a surprise to find out that it’s largely concerned with minor bug fixes.

　　Build 14379 takes care of a UI issue that was causing problems for users with high DPI monitors when they were inputting security credentials. There’s also a tweak to the Sticky Notes app, that prevents a problem where keyboard focus wasn’t being applied to a particular note after the app was minimized and re-opened.

　　Meanwhile, the Action Center should no longer crash after a large quantity of notifications are dismissed. The team also sorted out a bug that prevented Centennial app launches from Start or Cortana from contributing to the “most used” list in the Start Menu.

　　There’s a lone known issue with this build that PC users should be aware of — using the connect app to facilitate the use of Continuum from your phone onto your computer will not work. However, the team expects to have taken care of this problem by the time the next build releases.

　　However, that will have to wait for now, as the team behind these updates is apparently being given some time to recuperate over the course of July 4 weekend — perhaps the last reprieve they’ll get before the looming launch of the Anniversary Update.
