Despite not being a flagship, the original Nothing Phone 1 is one of my favorite smartphones simply because it managed to do something that no other smartphone company was willing to do. The phone broke away from the traditional design languages and stylistic flair, and while at its core, it was still a candy bar-shaped device, the Glyph lighting system combined with a transparent back made the phone very quirky, and the Nothing Phone 2 aims to make that even better.
The Nothing Phone 2 looks a lot like its predecessor, but that's a good thing, as this is the DNA the brand wants to go with
Now, the leaked renders are courtesy of OnLeaks and SmartPrix, and they show us the Nothing Phone 2 in all its glory. The source has mentioned that these renders are based on "live pictures of a testing stage unit."This means that between today and the launch happening next month, we could see some changes, but the probability of that is on the lower side, so we'll consider this the official look.
With that said, I am not going to take too much of your time, and we can start looking at the renders to see what the Nothing Phone 2 is all about. Once done, we will talk about all the little refinements that we have spotted in the new phone.

Okay, now that you know what the device looks like, the next thing that we need to look into are the changes that the Nothing Phone 2 brings to the table, and yes, there are a number of them, so let's get started. For starters, the back of the phone is slightly curved this time around, which should allow for better ergonomics. The front also has a slight curve, but thankfully, it is nothing major like we see on Samsung phones. The frame has now been rounded a bit more, which, again, will help in the ergonomics of the device.
Coming back to the rear of the phone, the Nothing Phone 2 now packs a dual LED flash, and the lighting design has also received a subtle revamp. Sadly, we cannot see much in the renders, but I am hoping that the Glyph lighting does receive an upgrade in terms of functionality.
The Nothing Phone 2 is launching next month. It will pack a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, along with a 4,700 mAh battery and decent, all-rounded specs. This is going to be the first phone to see a global release on day one, and we will keep you posted as we hear more about what the company has in store for us. Till then, stay tuned.
