Aside from the Galaxy S24 series, the OnePlus 12 is the phone I am looking forward to the most. I have been using the OnePlus 10 Pro for some time and have grown to appreciate many of its offerings. Sure, there are some quirks with the camera, but overall, it's a solid phone, and I feel like the upcoming device will solve most, if not all, of the problems the company has been facing.
The OnePlus 12 absolutely stuns in new colors, launch happening on 5th December
Now, OnePlus has taken the pleasure of unveiling the OnePlus 12 ahead of its launch on 5th December. The company has shown the device from all angles and revealed some interesting details about the new flagship. If you have been looking for a premium smartphone, this certainly has everything it takes.
The biggest change here is that the Alert Slider is now on the left side of the phone, and the company has claimed a reason for that. The company mentions in a press release that:
“Based on internal testing, it has been determined that the optimal position for gaming antennas is between the forefingers of the user when the phone is held in landscape orientation. However, the space is currently occupied by the Alert Slider on the OnePlus 11. By relocating the Alert Slider to the opposite side of the phone, better gaming antennas can be deployed on the OnePlus 12."

OnePlus has talked about how they are using “ultra-compact full-band antenna technology” and “industry-first Alert Slider antenna integration technology” so the Alert Slider does not take up a lot of space on the OnePlus 12. As you can see in the images above, the OnePlus 12 will be available in three variants - you get the phone in Pale Green, Rock Black, and White, with green being my favorite color. All variants use glass on the back material.
The OnePlus 12 will also have a 3x periscope camera, and of course, users can expect a “4th-gen Hasselblad Camera for Mobile," which should help with photography, but we will have to wait and see.
Honestly, I am really digging the OnePlus 12. It has been some time since the company released a phone that looked like a proper flagship. The OnePlus Open does come to mind, but that is foldable and I think it should be in its own category. OnePlus 12 will launch on 5th December, with an international release probably happening in January 2024.
