Pixel 7a Specs Show An Impressively Specced Phone With All The Modern Features You Could Want At An Excellent Price-May 2024
May 12, 2025 5:56 AM

After months of leaks and rumors, Google is finally ready to launch the Pixel 7a at the Google I/O 2023 on May 10th, and so far, we have received plenty of information on the device, including renders, specs, hands-on videos, and more. Today, we have a complete list of specs that the phone is going to bring along with the retail price, and honestly, I am surprised that Google has managed to price this phone so competitively.

The Pixel 7a specs make it look like an excellent deal, but is it being released at the wrong time?

The leak is coming from renowned tipster Yogesh Brar who shared a complete spec sheet of the upcoming Pixel 7a, and honestly, nothing that Brar has revealed surprises us. We did know that the phone is going to be more affordable and use the same Tensor G2 and the Titan M2 security chip found in the elder siblings, but the price tag is something that I am really impressed with.

The spec sheet confirms that the Pixel 7a will bring a 6.1-inch OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. You also get the Tensor G2 chipset and Google's Titan M2 security chip. For memory, you are looking at 8 gigs of LPDDR5 RAM and 128 gigs of storage. On the back, you get a dual camera setup with a 64-megapixel main camera with OIS and a 12-megapixel camera for ultra-wide duties. The phone also supports Face Unlock and will run Android 13 out of the box. The device will be powered by a 4,400 mAh battery, with 20W wired charging and wireless charging support.

Coming to the price, the Pixel 7a will cost you $499, making it one of the cheapest Android smartphones powered by a pretty decent chipset. If you do not have the money to upgrade to the new Pixel 8 series or an older Pixel 7 device, then getting the 7a makes a lot of sense. You will get an excellent camera along with the Tensor G2, and not to forget, stock Android experience.

Honestly, the Pixel 7a looks promising, but I am a bit worried about how the phone will be able to position itself in the market. You are getting the Pixel 8 devices, and I am sure the Pixel 7 series will also be discounted. So, where does the 7a lie in terms of value? Let us know which Pixel device you are most excited about in the comments below. The Google I/O 2023 is going to take place on 10th May 2023 and is going to be one of the most packed events in terms of hardware announcements.
