　　Quantum Break, will be releasing the same day on PC.“Xbox wants to empower gamers to play the games they want with the people they want on the devices they want, so Microsoft Studios and Remedy Entertainment will launch Quantum Break on Windows 10 simultaneously with the Xbox One version,” Microsoft says in the official announcement. This comes just after the Xbox game Rise of the Tomb Raider also made its way to PC after just two months of exclusivity.

　　What’s unique, however, is that Microsoft is incentivizing players to play the game on multiple devices. If you pre-order Quantum Break digitally on Xbox One, the PC version is free. This offer also applies, strangely enough, to those who purchase the just-announced Quantum Break Xbox One bundle, which also includes the original Alan Wake as a download — this deal is perfect for those who buy a new console and then don’t want to use it.

　　The news also comes with a new live-action trailer dubbed “The Cemetery,” which attempts to further humanize protagonist Jack Joyce.

　　“We never thought time itself could collapse and take the world down with it. Because we take time for granted. Just like I took you for granted,” Joyce says as he places a picture at his brother’s grave. “But if I get another chance, I’ll make sure things are different.”

　　While Quantum Break doesn’t seem like the type of game to pull at your heartstrings, its mix of live-action footage with traditional gameplay could allow for unique narrative opportunities. We’ll see if Remedy is able to pull it off when the game launches for Xbox One (and PC!) on April 5.
