Root Achieved For Samsung Flagship, Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge-June 2024
Jun 27, 2025 6:21 PM

Rooting an android smartphone enables the user to deepen the access to modify operations and functions with certain commands which by far cannot be achieved at the standard level. It is often seems that the Root access takes time to be gained on a new device but the two flagship models of Samsung, the galaxy S6 and S6 Edge now have access to be Rooted. The Root access has hit the Samsung's Galaxy S6 and S6 edge with the model number SM-G920T and SM-G925T respectively, via Chainfire, before they even hit the stores, which is due next month.

The modelsSM-G920T and SM-G925T belong to T-Mobile in the U.S. Both of these devices, curved and flat, are now being catered by Chainfire. This is actually the first step to the development with these smartphones and much work has to be covered.

Root Access Achieved For Samsung Galaxy S6 And S6 Edge

As these Roots try to emerge quite often, it is most likely that CF Auto Root will add more variants of the same model soon in the near future, after the gateway has been provided by the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.

Chainfire revealed the Root access news on its Google+ website along with the news for users to the caution side that may exist. To be specific about the cautious release notes, the root process may conflict with Samsung's built in secure KNOX, who's infrastructure coincides with that of the Root access. If not much, the adversities associated could lead to the mobile payment system to malfunction or have other subsequent effects. In the exact words as the post portrays:

''Before actually rooting though, consider that KNOX will likely be tripped, and there’s a good chance untripped KNOX will be required for phone based payments.''

However, if you have no issue regarding the risk involved then you can go ahead with the rooting. Of course, when you get your hands on the devices next month, you can do this by directing your browser to ''autoroot.chainfire.eu''. However, if you don't have that much of know-how or are new to the rooting field, than you may have to consider waiting. In particular, you will end up damaging the devices' internals and that may not sound pleasant since they're expensive products. That's it for now, let us know in the comments if you have any query regarding the matter.
