Samsung's latest high-end smartphone Galaxy Alpha has been keeping itself in the limelight, first with the rumors and now with its beautiful design. While still similar to much of the typical, plasticky Samsung Galaxy line-up, the device makes an attempt at showing the willingness by Korean tech giant to move towards metal. Samsung Galaxy Alpha also made some people upset with its seemingly poorer 12-megapixelcamera when compared to the flagship Galaxy S5. Samsung Galaxy Alpha sensor:

Samsung Galaxy Alpha is fitted with Samsung's in-house 12-megapixel CMOS image sensor with ISOCELL technology. Samsung Galaxy S5's ISOCELL tech made many a users happy with smartphone's photography. Making debut with Samsung Galaxy S5's 16-mp shooter, ISOCELL is back withAlpha with phase-detection auto-focus and focal length of 4.80mm. ISOCELL technology became popular as it reduces the crosstalk and luminance signal when compared to conventional BSI sensors.

The size of sensor is still unknown, however, Samsung promises that Galaxy Alpha will produce sharper colors. It is being rumored that Samsung is using same sensor in Samsung Galaxy Note 4 adding the optical image stabilization module in the phablet. It is expected that more details about the sensor will be publicized once Note is released too in next couple of weeks.

Samsung Galaxy Alpha is a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED display smartphone allegedly designed to give consumers an alternative to Apple's rumored 4.7-inch iPhone 6 expected to be unveiled in September. Alpha is powered by Exynos 5430 Octa Core with a 12MP primary shooter and a 2.1MP rear camera. Samsung Galaxy Alpha camera uses the ISOCELL technology as aforementioned giving some pretty good results. Latest Samsung smartphone features fingerprint and heart rate sensor like Galaxy S5 but lacks water-resistance. Device is expected to hit the store in 150 markets globally early in September.
