Samsung Galaxy S10 & Galaxy S10 Plus Browser Benchmarks Reveal a Different Aspect Ratio for Both Upcoming Flagships
Samsung Galaxy S10 & Galaxy S10 Plus Browser Benchmarks Reveal a Different Aspect Ratio for Both Upcoming Flagships-April 2024
Apr 1, 2026 1:07 AM

As the alleged February 2019 release date of the Samsung Galaxy S10 family inches closer, the rumor mills have started chugging out more stories about the phones. A recently conducted HTML5 browser benchmark test has now revealed more information about two of the phones in the series: the high-end Galaxy S10 Plus and the affordable the Galaxy S10, which rumors are referring to as the Galaxy S10Lite.

Samsung’s Galaxy S10 Series Smartphones Will Reportedly Have an Aspect Ratio of 19:9, Meaning a Taller Display Might Be Featured

First of all, the test has revealed that the entry-level Galaxy S10, bearing the model number SM-G970 has a screen resolution of 760x 360, which means the display has a resolution of 2,280x 1,080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:9. The benchmark was apparently conducted on Samsung’s mobile browser, which has the reputation for being one of the fastest browsers out there. There Galaxy S10 Lite achieved a score of 514 out of 555 points, which is quite impressive.

The listing has also revealed that the Galaxy S10 Plus has a screen resolution of 869x 469 pixels, which translates into a resolution of 3,040x 1,440pixels. This means that the phone would have a tall display with a QHD+ resolution. The phone achieved a score of 499 out of 555, which is lower than what the Galaxy S10 Lite achieved. However, this could be because the test was conducted on a prototype device and the final results might be different. It can also mean that the Galaxy S10 Plus has to push more pixels as a result of that resolution, which gave us the score mentioned before.

The listing has revealed an aspect ratio of 19:9 for both the devices, which is in line with the previous leaks about the Galaxy S10 Plus. On the other hand, the existing Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plushave an aspect ratio of 18.5:9, and are already known for having thin bezels. A taller aspect ratio indicates that the Galaxy S10 series phones may come with even thinner tall and bottom bezels. Add to this the fact that the phones will come with the Infinity-Odisplay, which means that the screen-to-body ratio of the phones would be pretty high.

What do you think of the latest browser benchmark scores? Are you excited that the Galaxy S10 Lite and Galaxy S10 Plus could feature taller screens, bearing thinner bezels? Let us know down in the comments.
