The Galaxy Watch Active only hit the market around four months ago alongside the Galaxy S10. It appears that Samsung is already working on a sequel. Contrary to its name, the device is not a fitness product and can be classified as more of a generic smartwatch. Sammobile managed to get their hands on exclusive footage of what appears to be the Galaxy Watch Active 2. Here's a video of the alleged Galaxy Watch 2 in action.
The Galaxy Watch Active 2 will come in two sizes: 40mm and 44mm and none of the variants will feature a rotating bezel. The feature has been highly requested (because it makes life a lot easier) but Samsung has—for reasons known best to them—chosen to ignore users. The Galaxy Watch Active 2 will still resemble its predecessor in many ways. The home/power button is round and the back button has a rectangular shape, and there’s also a red circle around the home/power button. There is even a microphone hole between the home and back keys and what look like speaker grills on the other side

The Galaxy Watch Active 2 will come in two variants; namely LTE and Wi-Fi. The LTE version will have a 340 mAh battery inside and the Wi-Fi model will have a 237 mAh battery. Both devices will come with version 1.5 of One UI. Samsung already updated all their existing smartwatches with OneUI and the Galaxy Watch 2 will ship with the software out of the box.
There is no word about the pricing for the Galaxy Watch Active 2 just yet, but we can expect it to be around the ~$200 to $250 mark like its predecessor. We can expect to make its grand appearance alongside the Galaxy Note 10, which is supposedly releasing on August 7th this year.
