Samsung is on the verge of launching Samsung Pay Mini for all Android running smartphones. The company has announced that the online payment service through mobile devices will be available for Android. The service is expected to be launched in the first quarter and will allow non-Samsung devices to make use of the company's online payment service on any Android handset. Samsung Pay Mini To Arrive On Non-Samsung Smartphones Soon

Android handsets will use the service to take advantage of Samsung Pay services like lifestyle, membership and transportation. Offline payment support requires the company's patented coil within the hardware which is used for reading magstripes. This means that non-Samsung phones will not be able to use the offline payment system.

If you're interested in checking it out, you should know that not all Android smartphones are supported for Samsung Pay Mini. Smartphones running Android 5.0 or higher are eligible for the online payment mechanism. In addition to this, the device should also feature at least an HD display to make use of the upcoming online payment mechanism.

Furthermore, if you're interested in trying it out before hand, a pre-launch trial will be available to users in Korea through the Google Play Store. If you're a resident or have access to the Korean Play Store, you can download the demo version on February 6. The company's spokesperson stated that it was reviewing launch dates for other regions but nothing was finalized at the moment.

Apart from this, Samsung will also be updating Samsung Pay Mini and Samsung Pay in its home South Korea with additional features like Shopping. The Shopping feature will allow users to connect with online shopping malls that are in partnership with the company. A Reward feature is also expected to be added which will provide additional benefits judging on the bases of points. The company will eventually launch Samsung Pay for non-Samsung smartphones in the near future.
