Ever since the issue, the user has taken multiple steps to retrieve his Google Drive data, but nothing has materialized into something that works. Since then, the issue has been reported to Google. Meanwhile, the same issue happened to another user who actually got a response from the company saying that the company was looking into the issue. This proves that whatever users are facing seems to be affecting multiple people.

Google claims the issue is “being investigated by our Product Engineers, and we are also waiting for a root cause analysis on how we can fix it." In the meantime, the company has also asked the users not to make any changes to the root/data folder of Google Drive, which could lead to some unexpected reasons.
