After Samsung Galaxy S5, Galaxy S4, HTC One M9, and a few other handful of devices, OnePlus 2 also receives OTA update to fix critical Stagefright Android vulnerability.

OxygenOS 2.0.1 brings several improvements along with Stagefright fix:
OnePlus 2 was released earlier this month in a few selected markets by the Chinese tech titan. Running a custom ROM, OxygenOS, based on Android 5.1 Lollipop, OnePlus 2 is now receiving the first ever update bringing some improvements and more importantly, patching the Stagefright vulnerability. OxygenOS 2.0.1 update will arrive on your OnePlus 2 over-the-air, shortly. As with every Android device, the update comes in multiple phases which means not all the regions will receive the update at the same time. You can manually check for the OxygenOS 2.0.1 OTA update fromSettings > About phone > System update >Check now for update.
When you do receive the notification, download the update and install it on your OnePlus 2. But, before doing that make sure your smartphone is charged up to at least 50%.Following is the complete changelog as shared on the official website:

As you can see, along with the very critical Stagefright security patch, first ever OnePlus 2 update brings a plethora of other improvements and bug fixes as well. This is a very important patchas Stagefright can get to your data without you doing anything. As shared with our readers multiple times, this vulnerability doesn't depend on the target to fall for a trap as it remotely executes malicious code using a specially crafted message. A user doesn't even have to open the message for the exploit to work making this one of the most high-severity exploits discovered in Android operating system. No matter what Android device you are using, make absolutely certainthat you upgrade to the updates carrying Stagefright fixes as soon as your carrier or OEM sends it your way.
