The Nothing Phone 1 made headlines when it was launched last year. It took the standard candy bar form factor that we have been seeing for ages and did something special with it. The phone, despite offering mid-range specs, was an instant hit for a lot of people, and the company announced the Nothing Phone 2. This time, however, with a more premium chipset, and guess what? The phone finally has a teaser and a release window.
The Nothing Phone 2 is launching this summer and hopefully with a lot more lights and cool tricks up its sleeve
Nothing Phone 2 was announced at MWC 2023, and back then, we were informed that the phone will be debuting in the U.S. and will actually be powered with a better chipset. Today, we have a confirmation as to when the phone is coming, along with a small teaser trailer giving us a glimpse of a light at the bottom. After all, a Nothing Phone without lights wouldn't make sense.

Now, the sad part is that the teaser does not reveal anything else. We do see a blinking red light at the bottom, so we know that we will get more lights this time, but other than that, we really don't see much in the first place. The teaser also reads, "Phone (2) is coming in summer 2023." So, it is safe to say that we are going to be getting the phone sooner rather than later.
As for the specs, there is not much we can say about the Nothing Phone 2 aside from the fact that it will be using a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. I do understand that some people would consider it a last-generation chipset. While that is true, one cannot take away from the fact that it is still a very capable processor that should not be slept on, at least in terms of performance and efficiency. Plus, by going for an older flagship chipset, Nothing can essentially offer a more powerful phone than what other companies offered last year.
Considering the release is a few months away, we will keep you posted as we hear more about the Nothing Phone 2. Until then, stay tuned, and let us know what you are looking forward to the most in the upcoming flagship from Nothing.
